CRUNCHY & HEALTHY DOSA


Today we are going to know how to make dosa which is healthy & tasty. Dosa is a recipe from South Indian cuisine, it is very famous in all major cities of india. Dosa is made from a fermented batter of rice & black gram (urad dal). It's taste is mouthwatering without any spices & chilly & It's healthy because of fermented batter which provides good amount of iron,use of oil is negligible,lighter to eat, low in fat,easy to digest, high in proteins. it helps to get your muscles,bones, hair stronger. dosa always seerved everywhere freshely.


            Let's see how to make dosa

                   INGREDIENTS(for batter)
1)250gm  rice
2)100gm black gram(ural dal)
3)20gm poha
4)10gm methi seeds (optional)
5)3 teaspoon salt
4)1 teaspoon baking soda

                 INGREDIENTES (for peanut &coconut chutney)

1)100gm groundnut
2)40gm fresh coconut
3)10gm coriander
4)3-4 green chillies
5)1 teaspoon salt

     Follow the following step to make dosa

STEP 1:- first of all soak Rice & black gram ( ural dal) in water for 8 hours or overnight.


STEP 2:-after soaking for 8 hours drain water from rice & ural dal. Make a medium paste out of it with the help of mixer grinder.


STEP 3 :-mix up the paste of rice & Ural dal. Also m,soaked poha, methi seeds &Add teaspoon of baking soda & leave it for 7-8 hour for fermentation.

STEP 4:- After fermentation the size of batter would be double the what at before fermentation. Now add 2 teaspoon salt in it & stir it well until a smooth paste forms

STEP 5:-Now batter is ready to make dosa.Put a nonstick Dosa pan on gas, clean it..Brush some oil to pan..


STEP 6:- now take a some batter with big spoon & pour on pan & spread it all over pan.gas flame should be low when spreading batter. After spreading make gas flame medium.

STEP 7:-now cook dosa until it's base turns golden brown.if you want more crispy cook it on low flame until turns golden brown
Dosa is ready now,now let's make a chutney for serving with Dosa

STEP 1:- Roast peanuts until golden brown. Remove the skin from it



STEP 2:- now take a mixer grinder add roasted peanuts,fresh coconut, green chillies,coriander,salt





 STEP 3:- Grind it well. Don't add too much water while grinding it.after grinding add water as your consistency

Now our dosa & chutney both are ready in a plate serve dosa with potato chutney,peanut chutney,sambar.
It's taste is delicious with groundnut chutney & potato chutney (this recepie I will share later)
